The cotton fields near my parent's land in Alabama


I am headed to Sweet Home Alabama this week for my favorite holiday of them all.  I have always loved spending my Thanksgivings in Alabama.  And one of my favorite fall sights in the south is the fluffy cotton fields.  It is so amazing to see vast acres and acres of snowy white cotton before it is picked.  My best friend’s grandfather was a cotton and cattle farmer and for her wedding we incorporated actual cotton bolls in her bouquet and for the boutonnières.  My mama’s neighbor’s husband brings her home a bouquet of cotton every fall and both my mama and I have decorated with cotton in our homes.

Hi there blogosphere...

I am starting this blog in hopes that it will be my virtual creative outlet.  I have a very long and vast background in everything creative.  However, I spend the majority of my days in a cubicle of the corporate world.  I am challenging myself to heighten my creativity and use my talents for good.  Hmmm... sounds like a super hero motto... Crafty Girl to the rescue.
